Experience the beauty of Pelješac peninsula and visit the home town of Marco Polo on this exciting excursion. A comfortable minibus and experienced guide will meet you at your hotel and guide you through the culture of southern Croatia as well as the history of Ragusa Republic as you drive north along the coast to the ancient town of Ston where you will see the oldest working salt factory in Europe and 5.5km long “Great Wall of Ston”. Continuing along Pelješac toward the tip of the peninsula, you will visit the seaside town of Orebić and take a ferry to Korčula, the second most populated island in the Adriatic. Your guide will explain the geography and the history of this island, which is known for a delicious white wine called Pošip. Walking tour through the walled old city of Korčula we will finish with some free time before departure back on mainland by ferry boat.
Departure time of this tour is determined according to ferry time. Our minibus with guide will pick you up at your place of stay and start with 2h drive towards Orebić. We will have 30min break in Ston complemented with walk through the old town. During drive through picturesque landscape you will see vineyards, many small villages and family owned wineries before we arrival in Orebić port. A boat drive across the channel takes 15min, we will be dropped off right in the old town and start a 45min walking tour through the old town. During our walk through walled old town of Korčula we will see famous St. Mark's cathedral. Some free time and lunch are planned till 3pm, when we take ferry back on mainland and heading back to Dubrovnik.
